Thorsten Hofmann

Thorsten Hofmann is a Partner in Stroud International and leads our European practice serving clients worldwide. Mr. Hofmann has 15 years of consulting experience working with market leaders across industries including food, coatings, textiles, packaging, printing and agriculture.

Mr. Hofmann has produced extraordinary results for clients, rationalizing assets and improving profits throughout the supply chain. His track record includes increasing the value of a membrane producer sevenfold, increasing their production rates 210% without capital expenditure, and reducing a multinational coatings manufacturer's conversion costs by 17% while expanding product offerings.

As a co-founder of Stroud Consulting Mr. Hofmann has focused on developing the firm's ability to serve non-English speaking client teams. He is particularly proud that Stroud Consulting has successfully supported local clients in 19 countries, consulting in eight languages to deliver industry-changing results.

Like Stroud's other leaders, Mr. Hofmann brings real-world manufacturing perspective to his clients: before his consulting career, he worked as a prototype assembly engineer for a German specialist machine and tooling manufacturer. Mr. Hofmann graduated from FH Coburg in Germany, and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK with Mechanical Engineering and Management degrees.

Mr. Hofmann enjoys many sports, having played semi-professional soccer and now focusing on his latest passion, scuba diving. He is a keen traveller, anywhere from the Pyramids at Giza to arctic Lapland to the Mayan Coast. He resides in the north of England with his daughter.
